We Have a New Name
Jon + Kate Photography is now simply Krombein Photography. We have been taking pictures under the name of Jon + Kate for over five years and while it is a name that makes sense, we feel like that era has run its course.
One, even though we started use the name before them, we got tired of the unending “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” jokes, and especially since the demise of the show and the couple we don’t really want to be associated with that idea.
Two, we used to be a photographic team. Hiring us meant hiring us; two photographers. The reality is that we have four kids now and it just doesn’t work to have us both working at the same. For the last year, at least, we have operated not a photographic team, but as a couple and a business team—instead of us both doing everything, we now specialize, each in a few areas. Jon continues to shoot head shots, bands, weddings and families while Kate specializes in maternity, families and babies.
To that end, we have changed our name simply to our family name. You can see our new website at www.krombein.com and you can see some recent shoots here on this blog (shortly), as well as the occasional life update.
To those of you who are just checking us out, welcome. We’re excited to show what we do and hope that we get the chance to work with you. To those of you who have already shared your wedding, family or baby with us, welcome back. We’re still around and we would love the opportunity to continue to document your legacy as it grows and changes.
